Makeup Mistakes You Can Make If You Wear Glasses – You may be allergic to contact lenses like me, or you may like to rock a pair of glasses, but when using them you must adapt your makeup in a way that suits you and looks stylish. Knowing about the makeup mistakes you can make, you will easily learn the ways in which you can take advantage of.
Since balancing your features to keep color in order, here are the most common makeup mistakes that women who wear glasses can commit without realizing it. I’m already taking note!
Makeup for Glasses
1. Combine your eyeliner with the frame of your glasses.
You can think that the eyeliner of the same color of the frame of your lenses looks super cool, but the truth is that it does not work well. The effect that occurs is that the focus is lost and your eyes are blurred.
For most frame colors, you simply need to choose a lighter eyeliner. And if your frames are very clear, try a eyeliner a couple of darker shades.
2. Go for a very dark look.
You may love the smokey eye, just like me, but it does not really work well with glasses and this could be a big makeup mistake for you. As the glasses project shadows on your face, you should opt for shades of lighter shadows for your eyelids and a shade a little darker for the outer corners of your eyes.
3. Keep your lashes subtle.
Although you have never needed to use a curling eyelash or a mascara that volume, you should try using glasses. Lenses can make your eyes look smaller and giving more definition to your eyelashes can counteract this problem.
4. The contrast between the eyeliner and the frames.
One of the worst makeup mistakes you can make if you wear glasses, is to ignore the thickness of your frames when you are using eyeliner. If you delineate with a thin line while wearing glasses with thick frames, you will make your eyes look smaller. Whereas if you delineate with a thicker line and use thinner frames, your eyes will look bigger than they are.
5. Unintentionally highlight the dark circles under your eyes.
When you are dealing with dark circles under your eyes, the worst thing you can do is use eyeliner on the lower eyelid if you wear glasses as this will accentuate them even more. Use a little mascara against water on your lower lashes and blend them a bit for a better effect.
6. Use corrector incorrectly.
Choosing the wrong concealer and using it in excess is one of the worst mistakes you can make if you wear glasses. It is best to start with a little lid circles under the inner corner of your eyes, where circles begin to form. Once it is well diffused, use a concealer with a yellow base to balance the darkness.
7. Extend the shadow too much.
While many cute makeup styles extend the area where the shadow is applied, less is more when you are wearing glasses. If you apply shade outside the frame line, you will create a look that is not very seated.
8. Take black mascara far away.
A little mascara on your lashes below can become a problem with your glasses. Using a lot or in a very dark tone is not advisable. Forget the old rule of wearing masks that do not combine and use a black in your upper lashes and a dark in the lower for a lighter look.
9. Try a daring look that can be a bit much.
If you use colorful frames, you’ll look better if you wear a strong lipstick and keep your eye makeup minimal. When the colors of your shadow compete for attention along with the color of your frames, it will look as if you use too much makeup, especially if your hair is also of a more striking tone.
10. Ignore the impact of the eyebrows.
Although the makeup mistakes you can make when wearing glasses are concentrated in the eyes, you should not ignore your eyebrows. Use a transparent eyebrow gel to keep them fixed once you order them according to your face and make sure they are well defined for a balanced look.
