Paul Begala Quotes and Sayings – Paul E. Begala was born May 12, 1961, in New Jersey. He is an American political adviser. He gained national fame as part of the political consulting duo Carville and Begala. Until June 2005, Begala co-hosted Crossfire, a political talk show on CNN. He is Research Professor of Public Policy at the Public Policy Institute of Georgetown University.

Begala was born in New Jersey and grew up in Texas. He graduated from law school at the University of Texas at Austin, where he taught for a short time before working for Bill Clinton. Begala became known when in 1992, together with his partner James Carville, he supported the then Democratic Governor of Arkansas in his election as President. After working in Clinton’s election campaign, he worked as one of its advisers and public speaker. As a staff member of the President, he helped defend the Clinton Gore Agenda.

In addition to the presidential elections in 1992, Begala and Carville were able to achieve even more political successes with the Democrats, such as the victory of Harris Woffords in the Senate election for Pennsylvania 1991, the election of Zell Miller and Robert Casey to governors in Georgia and Pennsylvania and the re-election of Senator Frank Lautenberg from New Jersey.
